How do I know if a behavioural assessment is right for my pet?

Booking a behavioral consultation is necessary when you’re facing challenges with your pet’s behavior that you’re unable to manage effectively on your own. Here are some situations where it’s advisable to seek professional guidance through a behavioral consultation:

  • If you need guidance assessing your pet’s behaviour
  • Temperament or personality assessments
  • Assessing why a bite incident occurred
  • Inter-household aggression between pets
  • Anxiety and fear-related issues
  • Your pet is suffering from separation distress
  • Your pet has not been acting like themselves
  • Your pet is displaying obsessive-compulsive behaviors
  • Sudden or inappropriate house soiling
  • Your dog has leash reactivity
  • Help with new pet integration
How do we do this?
  • Initial Contact: Reach out to me via phone, email, or through my website.
  • Consultation Scheduling: We’ll work together to find a convenient time for the consultation. A full consultation typically lasts for 60-90min
  • Pre-Consultation Form: You may be asked to fill out a pre-consultation form before my visit.
  • Behavioral Assessment: During the consultation, I’ll conduct a comprehensive behavioral assessment of your pet. This may involve observing their behavior and interacting with them to understand their needs and challenges better. I will be asking you questions about their routine and environment and evaluating any specific issues you’ve identified.
  • Discussion and Recommendations: Following the assessment, we’ll discuss my observations and recommendations for addressing your pet’s challenges.
